3 days at a car show is waaaay toooo loooong!!!

What a crazy weekend! That was way too long for the kids, but they seemed to have enjoyed themselves.

There was around 900 cars this year, this was the biggest & the best one they've had.

The GTO didn't win a trophy this year, but the Chevy won "The Mayor's Pick" plaque...so that was kool, plus won a ton of goodies through the raffle tickets.

It was a fun weekend~now the change of hats~back to mommy & cleaning the house mode!

THE STROLLER~

Ok, I thought the table story that happened yesterday was bizarre, well wait till you hear this one, this is right along with that one...just a "series of strange events" !!

The kids and I went down to the Fashion Show Mall on the strip, to go buy some of those Heely shoe skates for Z, after 2 hours of searching every store, we finally found them. We were starving by then, so I said why don't we hike up the street & go to the new Wynn Casino? We haven't been there yet & have been wanting to see all the whoha everyone has been talking about. The kids really wanted to walk over the bridges & check out the waterfalls & I figured we would eat over at one of the yummy resteraunts.

We finally get to the grand entrance & this old lady security grabs my arm & pulls me back a little & says "Hey! No strollers allowed!" as she is pointing to the sign. I just stood there looking at the sign, wondering...what the heck am I seeing, is this correct? Is this a joke? I have never heard of such a thing! This big lovely Italian guy snaps at the lady, overhearing her comment, he says "what is she supposed to do pack all her stuff & the kids on her back!?" He rolls his eyes at the lady & shrugs his shoulders at me & I am happy that someone else doesn't get it, either.

She tugs on my arm again & repeats what she said the first time....I said, "Get your hands off of me! And I need to have an explanation to why strollers are not allowed." Oh, she didn't like any talk back, she called in for more security & quite loudly I must say, where all the people standing around were staring at me & my kids, probably thinking what is she calling so loudly for security on this lil' family!

I asked again my question, she just would not answer me, it was like a bad movie, I think she was dumfounded by my beauty :) just kidding...but I still can't figure out why she couldn't give me an answer. So all the other reinforcements arrived, & proceeded to tell us we needed to leave, NO STOLLERS ALLOWED! My kids were scared to death, by all the commotion. I was waiting for the reality tv camera's to come out from behind the bushes, that's how bizarre it was....needless to say, Steve Wynn, DOES NOT WANT STOLLERS IN HIS CASINO! they said it loud & clear.....I think I will forward this to him & see what he thinks about his castopo security at the front entrance....

Rare vampire kit~

Ok, now I have seen everything! This is a rare vampire kit that was sold on ebay.

The funny thing is I took a picture of one this summer & wanted to do something like that for a mixed media project to sell on ebay & there it was...the statement "there is nothing new under the sun" seems to ring true to my ears, too many times!

The first picture is from ebay~the second is the pic I took this summer.

~Don't let them tame you~

I have this card listed on ebay, for tommorrow. I love that ebay feature, where you can preset your listing days and times.

This art card is from an image from my art journal. On the back of the card it says "Don't let them tame you" the original quote said..."You were once wild...don't let them tame you"

~Empressa~by Csaba Markus

Oh...look what I bought this week! My first high priced art piece, by the amazing Csaba Markus.

Last month I had heard he was coming to do a show in Vegas, and just happened to be in the Forum Shops & saw a large amount of his work in the Galleria di Sorrento. I went in & fell in love with the first one I saw "Empressa" so I bought it quickly, as there was a crazed bunch of art collectors buying up all his art pieces. I guess he is a well sought after artist, and when he does a show, he does some kindof painting mark on the art you buy and it makes it go up in value, I heard one lady say a piece she owns went up $8,000.00 after all the prints & seragraphs or whatever she was talking about...are all sold out.

It was so amazing to watch these art collectors, they were acting all crazy & probably could have seen a knock down dragout between a few of them, but this is a very ritzy place, so they maintained some composure. One lady was buying this huge painting that was an original for $45,000.00! One guy was buying another for $32,000.00 with out a blink of an eye. It was quite overwhelming...but I was happy to buy my piece of art and get the heck out of there.

Csaba will be here next week, so I am very nervous to meet him & sign my art in person. More nerve~racking will be, yet another frenzy to endure.... the rich, snobby ladies....Yikes, what shall I wear? I think I'll wear something unappropriate for the occasion, like my kool ripped up rhinestone jeans or my rhinestone camoflauge pants....I should get lots of snickering & whispering behind my back, mostly because... I will probably be the youngest person there.

Here's his website if you want to check out some more of his art~ or check out that mustache he's sporting...he looks like he's straight out of the renassiance days!

How old would you be, if you didn't know how old you were? ~Ruth Gordon~

I love this quote so much... I made an art card with the quote written around it....I think I will try using the quote with different images~

My ebay store is finally open~

Finally figured out how the heck to upload the pictures in the new template for the ebay store. Cathy from Avonlon Rose Designs (ebay) created the delicious new template, it is beyond what I imagined it would look like. She did an amazing job!

And if it wasn't for Jewels ! (Alluring-Designs.com) She saved the day by uploading it for me, because after 2 days of trying to figure out how to upload all of it...I was in some serious dispair...crying & the such..she put it in a matter of minutes! She is amazing! So Jewels and Cathy I thank you for all your help!!!

My first listing went on last night, (with a few missing paragraphs & pictures) so I thought I would load the missing pictures here on my blog.

This is a bracelet that I made, proceeds will be donated for the Katrina victims (Mission Fish) 100% will be donated...

It took many hours & lots of expensive lil' charms.

Feel free to take a look at the auction on ebay. (Just click on "auction" in my storefront)

On a celebrity roll....

Yesterday the kids & I went to go play down at The Stip, and ended up at Ceasar's Palace Forum Shops...(I love that place!)

We went to eat & Planet Hollywood & my oldest son, found this flyer that Darth Maul was autograph signing at one of the shops. So after eating we set out to try to find the store...we came around the corner & there was a ton of people standing around taking pictures of a bunch of guys with light sabers (is that what they are called?) they were all dressed up like the star wars characters. Well...we made our way through the crowd, to a table where all the photographs were laying out, and I asked the lady, looking over at all the comotion "Which one is Darth Maul" she rolled her eyes, and she said "None of them! We don't even know who they are!" She pointed to the cute guy way away from all the crowd, "That's him way over in the corner." I just laughed & said..."well, at least they are drawing a huge crowd for you!?"

We were the only ones in line & at the table, so Ray (Darth Maul) felt free to come over & talk to the kids, put his arms around them, and asked them a bunch of questions...it was very nice that he took the time to come over & talk with us, one on one.... & he is as cute as a bug and ohhhh so charming. He has the most brilliant, perfect white teeth, I have seen in a long time. And he a firm handshake, I like that in a man :) confident! Anyways, the kids were extatic, they had photo's taken with him & he autographed the pictures. It turned out to be a fun time with the kids.

The kids love the Star Wars movies....but I have to admit, I haven't watched one of them, until last night, we came home @ watched the one that Ray was in "The Phantom Menace".... it was a good movie.

In person, I expected Ray Park to look like some scary dude, but what a cute & nice guy he is. He has a lovely accent, (born in Scotland) and he lives in London & I hear he is excellent in Marital Arts.

So I am wondering why all of a sudden this sudden brush with all these celebrities this summer? Gosh, let's see.....hmmmm.....it's been 14 celebrities, I am not into celebrity gazing, but it has been fun for the kids, to meet them all...so now, they both have a nice lil' collection of autographs.

Wonder who we will meet next?

Looky what I found~

Look what I found today!? Celebrity bloggers! And one of my favorites actors....mmmmmm yummy Bruce Willis...he has his own blog. www.brucewillis.com

He has some interesting writings. I love how he gives freely, the opportunity to read his musings. That says alot about a person, especially celebrity statis....down to earth~

Here's something amusing.....when Die Hard first came out....I swear I was going to marry that man!

well..... I still think he is the true image of the "manliest, roughest, toughest, man" but I did lose my crush when he married the lovely Demi. My starry eye daydreams were dashed, and reality slapped me in the face..."What the heck was I thinking!?"

Praying for the victims~

Just got back from Carefree & Sedona Arizona...what a lovely place to visit. But actually cut it short. It is such a beautiful place, with gorgeous scenery. The Resort was a 5 star resort & I felt guilty as all heck, enjoying the gourmet meals & the unbelievably comfy bed with feather duvets & pillows. Had to leave early....I felt sick for all those people down south without a place to go home to, not a pillow to lay there head on.

I am going to donate money to the grieving families of Katrina, but I am going to be cautious. I wish I could get an apartment for just one family & fill it with comfy pillows, duvets, and gourmet food.....I think I might investigate doing something like that~

A silly horse story~

I made this art card a few months back, but today it brought back memories of a silly story from my past.......

5th grade, I was shy, scared & trying to fit in.

We had an art project. We had a week to complete it. We were to use clay.

At home, I thought long & hard, what was I going to create out of clay? I knew nothing of sculpture. Looking around my bedroom, I spotted my barbie horse...aaaahaaa, hmmmm, should I? no I shouldn't, hmmm, maybe? no one would ever know, no I can't.... yes I will! I covered the barbie horse in clay.

I turned the horse in at the end of the week. I saw my horse next to everyone else's sculptures, oh my gosh, mine is perfect! mine is the best! But wait....it is too perfect, I gulped, surely everyone would know. Everyone was awing my sculpture, praising my art piece....I felt sick.

The teacher came up to me & my sculpture, stared into my eyes & said loudly for the whole class to hear.... "You are a liar & a cheat!" and stabbed it lightly with her pencil, and then proceeded to scrape the clay off one whole side exposing the inside.....my barbie horse.

I wanted to die! I cried & ran out of the room. I wondered how she knew.

That was the beginning of 5th grade. I had the rest of the year to face that teacher every day, she hated me.
